Prior to the season when her husband, Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Kayode John Fayemi was at the helm of affairs in Fountain of knowledge State, Ekiti as the governor, before they were shown the door by the incumbent governor of the state, Ayodele Fayose, Erelu Bisi Fayemi had made a name for herself in some quarters as an award winning Nigerian activist, gender and development specialist.
It is on record the History graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile- Ife, Erelu Fayemi, did live up to bidding while she led the women of Ekiti State when her better half was the governor.
The woman has not relented in what she’s known for since they passed the power baton. As a business minded individual, she has even delved into Gele business, where she’s beginning to make impressions.
However, the beautiful and stylish woman, sometime towards the end of last year came under public light when speculation was rife that her husband was scheming to see her become the Secretary to the State Government under the newly inaugurated administration of Barrister Rotimi Akeredolu.
Although, the parties mentioned vehemently denied the tale but not many were satisfied with the denial as politicians are known to deny what might be their next move and as such Erelu remained a ‘suspect’ on the subject matter.
The elegant woman who hails from Ilara in Ondo State may have finally succeeded in gaining her freedom from all eyes that were fixed over the matter as the Governor of Ondo State recently named Sunday Ifedayo Abegunde as the Secretary to the State Government.
